Welcome Back!
As we return from our winter break, we are excited about all the new things we will be learning this semester.
SPI’s:
8.1.spi.10 Context Clues
8.1.spi.2.: 8.1.spi.27 Multiple Meaning Words
8.1.spi.16 Analogies
8.1.spi.15 Figures of Speech
We will use our TCAP Coach books to cover the skills listed above. Each day, we will complete activities from the Coach books, cover/review the material orally, and do spot-check practice exercises to determine mastery.
I will also provide extra practice materials (as necessary) from other sources.
In addition, students will write a five paragraph essay each week. The teacher will provide writing prompts. We will use a rubric to assess our writing.
