8.1.spi.6 Students will determine cause and effect relationships in context.
8.1.spi.8 Students will recognize a reasonable prediction of future events of a passage.
8.1.spi.11 Students will determine an author’s purpose for writing or a student’s purpose for reading.
For the entire week, students will focus on the skills listed above. Each skill is a review. We will continue to focus on TCAP review so that the students are very well-prepared for the test.

Please remember to check grades on Power School regularly! That way, there will be no surprises at the end of the nine weeks. Also, graded papers are still being sent home. Please look for them.
All eighth graders are encouraged to attend the spring dance that is scheduled for May 10, 2008. Money for the dance and t-shirt are due this week by Friday. The cost for both is $27.00. The t-shirt alone is $7.00 and the dance alone is $20.00. What a great deal!!!
Spring Break is scheduled for March 17-21, 2008!
